Vending Machines
We have trashcans and it looks like this anyway.
This weekend I will be at Small Press Expo (Bethesda, MD, USA) for the first time ever!! I can’t wait! Danielle Corsetto, the nicest person ever, is sharing her table with me. Find us at table L8!
In Halifax they took away all the garbage bins at the bus stops, and they’re now all disgusting
Being clean is just apart of their nature. They’ve grown up with it so much that its instinct to clean up your mess.
We played a game where if someone was purchasing from a vending machine, we had to buy that exact same item and try it.
I love that!
I loved those vending machines!
Though I did have one mishap where I got my favorite cold tea confused with bitter melon juice (both were in nearly identical green cans). Blergh.
I recall my trip to Japan. you basically just had to go some hundred meters or so if you were thirsty, and you’d happen upon a vending machine.
God I want to go back there.
Oh yes! I was in some place in Japan that was the middle of the woods without even any houses around, and it had two bulk peach stands for stores to buy from, a cheesecake shop, a parking lot, and 4 vending machines. The nearest bus station was a five minute walk up the road, and was a little circling tourist bus (we got off the bus because peaches). We were so confused, but we had green tea, peaches, and cheesecake so it paid off. I asked where we were and was handed a topographical map – the one bilingual person looked at it and said ‘middle of nowhere’.
hah a British retro game guy that lives in japan and blogs on youtube that does travelogues occasionally when he goes somewhere different was showing that in some places all the soda machines had at least one or 2 brands of beer and there were some that were just beer…
That’s so funny! I always bring my trash home with me. Or at the very least, I carry it around until I can throw it away discreetely. :’)
