Yes but no.
On days when you’re taller you could do regular store work? Which consists of “walking around” where “customers see you”? I’m guessing, charitably, this is so customers who want help will be able to locate someone to ask. Boy do I like my hardware store’s solution of having a help desk so customers who want help know where to turn and those who don’t get left alone.
