C’est ça qu’on voulait faire, mais y avait des files d’attente partout et on a pris la mauvaise. Quand on s’en est rendu compte, ça faisait déjà au moins une heure qu’on attendait alors on s’est dit qu’on patienterait…
It’s not the kids fault he’s an obnoixious brat, it’s those lazy sunglasses wearing parents. Sorry you had a bad experience with some unpleasant American, I speak for the rest of my country and offer a sincere apology, I wish I could say that American kids aren’t all like this… but they really are. My hat is off to you for not pushing the kid off the Eiffel Tower.
Oh, don’t apologize :) This kind of kid exists in every country. It just felt bizarre to encounter our first Americans in Europe and have to endure the brat for the whole afternoon.
I took the stairs..because I am a crazy person. stopped in at the gift shop and took the elevator up to the tippy top. Every single person (me as well) went “ahh ear pop!” half way up, It surprised me -I was just looking out thinking. “this is rad to the max” and then my ear drums were assaulted.
Oh, we took the stairs down. Actually we wanted to take the stairs up too, but there were so many line-ups going in all directions that we picked the wrong one and realized only after waiting for so long… we figured we’d stay where we were.
In the queue for the stairs there was an english school trip in front of us ( A primary school! How do they justify an international trip!) and instead of getting the teachers to buy the 30 or so tickets all of them paid for their own ticket ! We took the stairs up but didn’t go to the very top.
T’aurais du prendre l’escalier, j’ai fait ca en un quart d’heure et y’avait pas de file d’attente.

kids, so lovely that you want to strangle them, when annoying kids are around i make sure to scare the fuck out of them so they calm down.

I usually like kids… but, like adults, not all of them are agreeable. T_T

And this is why my family did not go to the Eiffel Tower when we visited Paris…
Which strangely seems to have been around the same time you were there, if not close to the end. That’s very mind boggling…
I’m a kid and I hate ’em! I have a terrible “old grouch” inside me who looks at teenagers a few years older than me and go “dang kids…”
I mean, I’m eccentric, but still!
