Dang, nothing but the fancy stuff you, eh? That’s actually a good combo. Another good combo is cream cheese and jam, strawberry especially!.
Peanut butter and cheese is a fantastic combo! I know it sounds nasty, but it’s super tasty.
I’m finding out this morning judging by the number of people who think it’s okay! I love both, but… separately, please.
SANMICH!
Mine does Yogurt and Cheese :P
I’m pretty okay with this! But to me peanut butter isn’t a sweet spread. I used to like peanut butter, crisp (chip) and cheese sandwiches. Please don’t judge me.
Growing up when I did, peanut butter didn’t really exist as a low sugar or unsweetened treat so no one ever thought of using it in savory dishes. Now I wouldn’t think twice about getting it using it in savory foods, and some of those foods do use sweetened pb like spicy peanut sauce. But growing up with pb and jelly (jam) sandwiches, I think that having it in a sandwich form would always make me think of a sweet treat. Maybe leftover chicken in pb sauce would be ok on a sandwich.
I feel like peanut butter and cream cheese are actually too similar to sanmich (but then, if it’s the sweetened peanut butter, could work). I can however vouch for peanut butter and melted cheddar. Especially with some raisins (or currants) in there. Yum.
Oh no, she’s going to grow up liking pineapple on pizza xP
My youngest does this sort of thing! Her most recent “creation” was caramel dipped chicken. I didn’t care for it, but she ate it right up!
I used to (and still occasionally) ask for both butter AND cream-cheese on my bagels. And I like peanut-butter and cheddar cheese on ritz crackers as snack, so I guess it wouldn’t be to much of a step to go to peanut-butter and cream cheese. I’ll have to try it some time.
I guess this balances out all those times when you prepare your kids favorite food and tonight they decided they stopped liking it and won’t eat even a single bite.
You know, I used to make peanut butter and cream cheese sandwiches when I was a kid. I see nothing wrong here!
Combining food in weird ways seems to be something that kids do. One of my brothers used to take Oreos, pull the halves apart, eat the filling, and then put the cookies around a chicken nugget. He also ate french fries dipped in ice cream.
My usual sandwich while a teen/20something was peanut butter, cheddar cheese, salami, and mayo. In that order. Then, in the microwave with the peanut butter on the bottom, so the grease from the salami would help the cheese and peanut butter melt together . . . Yum, yum.
better then my sister when she was little. She’d dip apple slices in ketchup.
