Santa
I’m really bad at keeping the Santa magic alive. We still haven’t decided whether we’ll encourage Margot to believe in Santa or not…
That said, Merry Christmas (to those who celebrate it)! Or Happy Holidays! Or happy family times! Whichever you like. <3
Lol im curious why did you do that?
My mom kinda went for the middle ground regarding belief in Santa. She encouraged is to “pretend” in Santa because it was like a fun holiday game. We even wrote “from Santa” on presents and left cookies out. All of the fun, none of the dissapointment :3
I have no idea! It just came out like this. This happened a few years ago, before we had Margot, so maybe today I would’ve been more careful.
That’s pretty cool!
Do they know it’s Christmastime at all?
I grew up religious, and my parents told me when I was very young that Santa didn’t exist. But we did do the same middle-ground thing by pretending that he existed, which was fun. I even managed to keep the secret, at the age of 3 or 4, from my cousin who still believed in him.
You evil evil lady…..I love it, I’d do the same >:3
Happy holidays! And whether you have Margot believe it or not is entirely up to you. The holidays are about making it fun and having a wonderful time with loved ones, fat hairy red suited (thanks to coke, it was originally green!) man or not.
I think I was perfectly happy with the “Santa is a spirit of kindness and giving” version, so anyone could be Santa and Santa’s helpers. It was a fun thing to get the older children to help with the younger children.
