I’m convinced that men simply cannot hear their own snoring. My own experiences coupled with the few comics I’ve seen from you really gives me confidence that I’m not insane. My husband constantly snores but swears he’s still awake 90% of the time I poke him and tell him to roll over. I wear ear plugs and can STILL hear him!
story of my life. I started keeping my phone near the bed so I might be able to record him snoring and then accusing me of being awake, but every time I shifted to grab it I inevitably woke him up.
I finally got him one night as I was putting on my pajamas. He started his falling asleep snore and I grabbed his foot and said “pretty sure I wasn’t asleep this time.” He conceded.
To be fair, he knows he snores and he even wears Breath Right strips on his nose every night to cut down on it bothering me. It just drives me crazy when he has asked me to wake him up if he is bothering me and then he tells me he wasn’t asleep.
My boyfriend also snores, ans I know how frustrating it is to be awakened in the middle of the night to be told that I snore (or that I grit my teeth), so instead, I gently stroke his belly and he either stops snoring for a moment, or he automatically rolls over without noticing. You can’t just decide not to snore… it happens, it’s annoying, but it doesn’t change anything to just wake the person up and tell them “Hey, you snore…” :/
I shift/fidget a lot in an attempt to get him to roll over. I’ll cough or clear my throat too. Poking him and telling him to roll over is what I do when the above don’t work.
I tend to have to sort of push my hand under his shoulder and press up and he usually will roll over but there are times when I have to stick my nails into his shoulder and that usually gets a grumpy grunt but he rolls over.

I usually stroke him quite a few times before talking to him. Talking means nothing else worked, haha
