The hostel we were staying at was nice (clean and great location), but… the walls were paper thin. I didn’t get to sleep much. Also, I’m not a big fan of having to exit my bedroom to go pee in the middle of the night. ~_~
But, it’s super cheap. We had a room for two so not all hostels force you to sleep with strangers. :)
College dorms sound like a nightmare. I’ve never lived in one, but one of my friends did, and she’s had sharing bedroom stories to tell — where her roomie brought back guys for steamy nights despite having somebody else in the room trying to sleep.
Meh. It beats getting sadistically murdered by idle rich folk.

I’ve never been in a hostel before but I imagine it’s similar to my college dorm experience. Super thin walls, communal bathroom, weeeeeeeirdoooos. :)
