Gas Station
Marvel at my ability to draw CARS
Honestly, I’m not satisfied with this one because I had so much to explain in only four panels that it doesn’t come out remotely funny. It doesn’t convey the panic mode we were all in (there was four of us in the car), the true feeling of relief when we finally saw the sign in the distance, and then the panic creeping back…
TL;DR we found another gas station by fat chance two minutes later.
So yeah! I’m doing a little series from my trip to Quebec City for the next few days. I hope you’ll like ’em!
They still use “ESSO” in Canada? Down here in the States they changed their Corporate and brand name (the one that appears on their stations — at least wherever I’ve lived) to “EXXON” in the early 1970s. Maybe your guys never got the memo? (j/k)
I’ve always wondered why it was “Esso” here and “Exxon” in the US! Who knows?
maybe it was to essoteric?
>_>
<_<
I'll go now
LOL. That’s totally the gas station at the corner of the 3rd avenue and the 4th street. =D
It’s really close to my place.
Why the heck where you in that area though? It’s nowhere close to the Centre des Congrès…
Also… there’s an independant station right next to it. (Eko I think?)
Aside from the Eko, I agree that gas is scarce in that area. (old Limoilou) But there’s gas stations virtually EVERYWHERE ELSE in the city. How hard was it to find one?
We kinda got lost trying to find one, I think. We did find the independent station. ;)
The moral to this story is… Next time you’re in town… Give Dez a holler. We’ll hang out and I’ll give you a tour. :)
Oh man this totally happened to me last month!
