What I like best about Boumeries is that, way out here in California, we have 2 daughters who are just about Margot and Annette’s ages! Reading your comic, it’s like Kitty and Lily have friends pulling the same stunts in Canada!
i love how funny and quirky they are, when ever i seen one i always laugh they are honestly the highlights of my week.
Congratulations on reaching 1000!! I love how HILARIOUS Boumeries is; and how great it is at telling about family life and parenthood in a very funny way that you don’t always see in other places.
What I like best about Boumeries is not only the humour, but how honest it is—you’re not afraid to show any aspects of parenting, your daily life, etc., which makes it so relatable.
(C’est aussi un bon moyen d’assurer que je n’oublie pas tout mon français en lisant la version française…)
I love how honest you are about everything. The good and the bad. It’s refreshing
The best part of Boumeries is that I don’t feel so weird anymore about my crazy toilet dreams!
Best thing? how you draw eyes, its just so perfect for each character
I like the sense of humor in boumeries!
Your quirky humor and nerdy ways. It speaks to all of us nerds. I can totally see a lot of these things happening to me as well. Its been one of my favorite comics ever single I stumbled upon it a couple years ago!
I love the art style, it’s something I try to achieve becoming a comic book artist myself :) . As well as the realness of it all, the way you combine your dreams and daily life always gives me a good start in the morning!

Congratz fot the 1k comic :)
What I most like about your comics is that they’re about real live and the little things that happens. And, in the ones with your daughters, I always see me or my wife with our sons ^^”
It was the same with my daughter and now my cats. IF you are up, they can feel you looking at them. They can sense you rolling over half asleep.
my wife and I both love the sense of humor and the situations!
we say to each other on a daily basis that we’ve gone through the EXACT SAME THING with both our kids when they were little.
Congratulations on 1k! Your comic is fantastic and my favorite thing is how relatable it is. :)
Hoora, congrats on your 1000 comic! Reading this reminds me that about a month ago I found out about your site, and started reading all of them. It took me some time, but I did read them all, and it was quite fun to see the changes in the art, as well as in your situations. :) And of course I couldn’t stop laughing and sharing your comics with my boyfriend. :P
What I like the most about your comics? They are hilarious, but also really relatable at times (I am also a gamer).
All in all, I hope you will be making comics like this for years to come, I will be sure to follow you, read them, and laugh. :) Good luck!
Wow, 1000 comics! This is huge!
I love your humor and geekiness :D
I love Boumeries for honest the humor is. It’s a relatable and hilarious.
You capture the ridiculousness and magic of life with young children.
What I like best about Boumeries:
– I’m not the only one in the world having frequent toilet dreams.
– I recently had a baby (June 27th) so your comic speaks to me even more.
– It’s a bilingual comic.
Wait, no one else is going to comment that you are (while strategically covered by an arm) topless in you 1,000th comic?! I guess I’m the lone (perv/prude?) in the crowd. Huh. Have read all the comics – an early adopter. Love it! Keep ’em coming.
I started reading boumeries back in 2013 when I found you via tumblr when I saw you make comics about your pregnancy it helped me get through my pregnancy with humor and not to stress too much about thr lil things. I have enjoyed it for the past 3 years and don’t miss a update. My son Atticus enjoys seeing the comics too. I’m about to have my 2nd child so yesterday I had actually gone back go the beginning of your comics to find the time you announced your 2nd pregnancy and just read the funny comics with my son. We both love them and would enjoy a comic.book of our own. I think even if I didnt win this contest it’s time I buy copy soon though lol ^_^;
I love that I can relate to all of the parenting moments!
I like your comic because I can relate with the conjugal themes and the issues with kids, but mostly because I have a daughter the same age as Annette but that is so much like Margot. I like sharing the comics with my wife and we say things like “This is exactly how it is!” and we laugh at our own problems!
Congraaaaats!I lost track of how many years I’ve been following your work, you’re an inspiration! My favorite thing about the comics are Margot’s stories :D
Keep up the good work!
I’ve followed this comic for a long time (don’t even remember when I first found this), so much so that it’s part of routine to read it every Mon, Wednes and Friday morning. It makes me smile and reminds me that life is full of ups and downs (that in some cases are someone elses ups) . I like to see that someone on the other side of the world (from where I am quite literally) can also have bad days but ultimately make the best of it by sharing their misfortunes with others and spread joy.
Happy 1000th comic, and congrats on it not being a toilet dream themed one ;)
Congratulations on your 1000th comic!
I love many aspects of your comic, but my favourite has to be the humor. The way you make the bad lucks and struggles of parenting funny. (And before that, it was also pretty funny, but there’s something more with the children, you can feel the love)
Congratulations on 1000 comics! I’ve been reading since a little after Margot was born, I seem to recall, and I look forward to reading it every time it updates. Thank you for creating it and sharing it with us!
What I love about the comic is your stories, first and foremost. I love your art style too, and the fact that we share interests helps make it more relatable.
1000 comics! so exciting! I love how you are both still geeky even though you’re parents and how you approach the subject matter. As a geek who’s seen so many new parents drop their love of all things geeky…it makes me smile. elkedoring@gmail.com
What I like best is that you make everyday incidents hilarious. It makes me feel not alone that someone else experiences these things.
I started reading just after Margot was born, which was a little before my neice was born. It’s been fun to watch them both grow up and see two girls from vastly different places have similar personalities and attitudes.
The art style is also one of my favorites. Very simple and easy to identify. The artist in me approves!
YAY! Congrats on your 1,000th comic! I’ve been reading your comics since 2012 (I think) but this is the first time I’ve commented. I have family in Montreal and when I read this comic, it reminds me of them. You take me back there when I see the milk in bags and other references, hehe. What I like most about Boums is that you present the situations in your life in an open yet unique way. We can relate the situations you show us. We’ve all been there; a study of life and its challenges! Rooting for you for the next 1,000!
J’aime ton humour, ton regard sur le quotidien. C’est rafraîchissant de te lire et suivre tes aventures ^^
I love how much your personality and humor shines through in the comic. Not just with the writing, your art style does an amazing job conveying the story and emotion you try to get across in each strip. It’s always such a delight to read!
What I like best is that we’ve chatted happily about this on twitter. About how Annette’s a silly little munchkin, Margot’s grown into such a riot of a kid, how Pierre-Luc’s just Beanie and you have to be nice to Beanie. Everything is just how it goes in life and well… You don’t see that online anymore. Thanks for the laughs Boum. It’s totally been real.

I love that you write about your daily life, as a mother, as a cartoonist and how you manage to handle the both. You give your own funny look on things, and i’m always super stoked to see you’ve updated.
Congratulations! Has it really been 1,000 already? Time sure flies when you’re having fun reading a hilarious comic.
Shameless albeit true praise aside, if my terrible guest comic didn’t make it evident enough, I’d have to say my favorite thing about Boumeries is all the toilet dreams. But Margot’s oddball antics are a very close second.
mitchells2003@yahoo.com
I love the fact that you provide it in English and French, and how well you nail the English side of toddlers’ first attempts at words (“pok”); I love how I can relate to it as a parent; I love all the bits I get to see of somebody else’s life that are like mine, or different; I love the foibles and the occasional crazy (“bubble wrap!”) or mystical realism (turning off street lamps!); I love how you draw–the lines you commit to paper, and the ones you don’t.
What I like best about your comic is how funny your life is compared to mine. My life is pretty boring most of the time and reading your comic makes me laugh and brings joy to me and others.
Sorry if my reason is very short I’m terrible at putting my thoughts on paper.

What I like about your comic is the artwork, especially facial expressions
Hello!!
I’m a big fan, here from Brazil! Congratulations reaching 1000 comics! I’ve been following the comics for a few years and I have so much fun with your work!! Congratulations!!
what you like most about Boumeries?
What I like most is the identification I have with the cartoons. I also work with illustration (and I also did animation courses) and to see funny situations involving this area is priceless. I love the way you portray everyday life, many of them are the same here in my house, especially the saga of the “pot lid”.=]
A lot of success for you!! I hope you continue brightening my days with the cartoons!! All the best!!
What I like the most about Boumeries is how relatable it is.
What I love the most about Boumeries is how much perspective it gives me in situations I’ll never be in, taking me to thoughts that would only be foreign to me as a younger aspiring cartoonist, and how to find joy and humor even within my own misfortune, something I hope I could accomplish in the future and will continue to come to this site for.
Thank you for this comic! :)
I like your comic because it is honestly EXACTLY what parenting is like. <3
i like your art style and the humorous stories best. i guess thats technically the whole thing but idk. this comic is jsut cute really.
I enjoy the general lightheartedness. Here’s to another 1,000 comics!
I love your dress. Where did you get it?
Also, already commented on Facebook, still come here from the adorables. ;)
It’s actually a big tank top! It’s from 1% talent. :) http://www.1percenttalent.com/product/eyes-tank1
Looks like it’s sold out, though…
I don’t really know why I like boumeries. It’s just so different from other webcomics and have this feeling of comfort as if I belonged in it too.
I love that you’ve allowed us all into these individual moments of your life, creating these entertaining strips for us – total strangers. I appreciate it so much – the fact I’ve been following this strip since I started college, I feel like each strip marks the growth in my own life, just like the growth in yours. Thank you so much! (bunnyrangler@verizon.net)
What I like best about Boumeries is that for me, it acts as something of a palette cleanser. It’s a quick one-off that almost always tickles my funny bone and resets my mind from some of the more drama-centric webcomics I read. I reqlly hope that makes sense. :/
What I like best about Boumeries iiiis… How real things feel. Which sounds a bit trite, but there’s things which are often a bit odd, and yet it’s always so relatable, so believable.
Also it just makes me happy to read it. It’s pretty rare that something I read makes me laugh aloud but Boumeries has done it, more than once!
Congratulations, Boum!

It feels like it was yesterday when Duck harry potter saved the wizard ducks world.
Because it makes me feel less weird about my toilet dreams. (Yes I actually have toilet dreams a lot…usually ending in me waking up needing to use one..but still)thank you Boum! But also because it is amusing and cute and well how can I not like a fellow Canadian. lol
Congratulations! I like your very honest style, the amount of emotion and character you get into your clean, almost minimalist style, drawing and knowing a Canadian is out there doing good things.
Cheers!
Matt
I just love all these stories about the girls, and your style is so great! Can’t wait to see what the next thousand has in store!
Congrats! I’ve read them all :-)
Congratulations! I am a teenager form Olympia, and what i like best about your comic is how relatable you are to everyone I know. It feels like I know you even though I’ve never met you! If you ever visit Olympia wa you’ll know what I mean :) keep up the good work!
I first discovered Boumeries about a year or two ago through an ad on another website, it looked like something I would enjoy, so I decided to check it out. Within the first few weeks, I went through the entire archive from start to finish, and loved every strip. No matter what it’s about, weird dreams or family antics, it always manages to make me smile. I also admire your motivation, how you can draw and upload comics so often, especially on hourly comic day. I feel very lucky that I was able to stumble upon this comic, it quickly became a favorite of mine.
Congratulations! It’s quite something to have come this far!
I love your comic strip for a few reasons: its clear, well designed and funny. It also reminds me of my own children, both boys though. Margot is just a bit older than my oldest is, and Annette is just a bit younger. Both only months apart from mine. When I was pregnant the first time I found your comic and its humor and honesty helped me during a rather difficult time, and it also helped prepare for the birth of my son and what to expect about breastfeeding and the crazy things after. When I was pregnant the second time I reread it and loved it again. Now I love to read it for its similarity to my life and my children.
I hope you continue for a long time, and I will be reading all of it :)
It’s*
What i like best is seeing those interesting little moments that differ between my american life and french life
Sheerahimae@gmail.com
I love how the comic is always so upbeat even when things go awry. :) Thank you for sharing your life with us!
Why do I like this comic? Well…
– Sometimes dreams are more ridiculous than anything you can intentionally imagine
– This comic totally shows what adult nerds think about
– Margot reminds of those moments with children we’ve all experienced
– Because toilets. Tee-hee!
– Whether they’re people at the store or at a convention, this comic reminds us all that people are weird/obnoxious/stupid/confusing
– Sometimes real life is stranger – and funnier – than fiction
I guess that last one sums things up pretty well; this isn’t just the story of one woman’s life or one family’s life, but it’s the story about life in general, to which we all can relate.
And that’s why this comic is great. That and the toilet dreams.
Many congratulations on this great milestone. Keep being awesome. :-)
I love the beautiful connection of the real and the absurd.
This is the one that got me hooked on Boumeries! I saw it linked recently and I said, “Welp, now I’ve got to read this one. [*Clicks the << button*]"
Congratulations 4 years late! Am I the only one who noticed the time, 413?
