Errr… When I was a kid, I only watched/listened to happy kid movies /music. It might be the reason why I still love to watch/listen to them up to this day.
Oh, I always loved “die Zauberflöte”
Maybe because here in Austria, every child is forced to watch it at least once..and we had to memorize “Der Vogelfänger bin ich ja”
There’s no way to escape this opera around here XD
Yeah.. I learned somthing new.. Its german!
I know the Aria, saw & heard the video.. and.. don’t understand more than a few words.. although I am German ^^
It’s the same like trying to understand german Doom Metal.. ;D
I did the exact same thing as a kid! Except the version of “The Magic Flute” I had was translated into English and rewritten for a childrens’ audience, so it was shorter a few of the characters were changed (plus the addition of the flautist, Sara, who is actually dreaming about the opera itself while travelling through it and is the protagonist of the story).

Opera is pretty hard to understand in general, methinks!
Judging by how scared the Queen’s daughter looked, your neighbor fit the part.
PS, your stance in the last panel makes me grin muchly.
This definitely made me LOL at work!
A little mermaid doll singing to this? Sometimes improvising makes the best combinations. =3
