You better start saving up if you wanna move out to something kid-friendly. That’s gonna be quite a bit of space. But I must say your apartment has the most compact design I have seen in any apartment.
Haha, if the baby is going to be sleeping outside through Canada’s rough winter climate, you’ll surely get a hardy kid. I’m imagining a miniature Hugh Jackman/Logan from X-Men… hair and stubble included.
It’s very unusual to see this style of thin lines in a Boumeries strip. But it definitely suits this strip in particular, and I really like the second panel. I’m also impressed that you’re able to convey the entire layout of your apartment in one panel.
Yeah, the thin lines — I’m at my comics residency and I couldn’t bring all my stuff with me, so I did all of October’s comics directly on the computer. I don’t really like the look but it’s better than nothing. ;)
In our case we put half of the office (2 workplaces) in the living room and the other half in our bedroom so that the kid had a whole room. Because you need a big desk for the huge ass mount of clothes and a changing table. Takes a lot of place. Might also want to add a rocking chair for those sleepless nights to rock him/her to sleep.
I am such in the same boat as you are! It made me laugh when I saw you and Pierre-Luc working in the same room, back to back, because it is the way it is with me and Olivier. :-) It’s soooo not ergonomic. *sigh*
I’ll let you know if I see something that might interest you. :-)
Je suis sûre qu’il y a moyen! On devrait faire un diner de filles “brainstorm/essayons des affaires” et trouver solution! Plusieurs têtes ensemble, ça peut pas ne pas marcher! :)
If you plan on nursing, according to me, a baby-bed fixed to your bed is THE way to go! No stumbling down the hall… We still manage to have all of our baby stuff in the room (he’s 6 months now!)… Yes you need (and get) so much baby clothes, but they’re all so small, you dont need so much space, at the beginning at least!
You could put the baby in bedroom, and you guys could sleep in the living room. You won’t have to worry about all the light, because you won’t be sleeping anyways.
I have no idea what to write… Wait you have a balcony? And you can put a hammock there!

There’s no way half the office fits in our bedroom -_- We’re going to have to find a way.
wow talk about small, id feel claustrophobia in your apartment.
Plus de tablettes!

Ouiiii!

I do want to nurse! I’m definitely considering that.
A diner of girls!?! Holy crap, you guys are cannibals.
Is that an L-shaped couch? you could get rid of that and install a baby there.
But that couch is brand new!
Also — our living room is VERY bright (windows in the ceiling, don’t know the English term for it), I don’t think it’d make for a good bedroom.
Skylights. What are they in French?

Puits de lumière = light well. :)
A baby in a hammock sounds way more cute than it should. =O
I don’t think they look bad or anything, just different :) If I could draw in your style like that directly on the computer, I’d be very happy!
Damn, that’s HUGE!!! cut it in half and that’s my living accommodations…
Pretty sure it looks bigger than it was!
