Her Tamagotchi dies of old age every three weeks :I
When. I was a kid I had the Pokémon version where you take care of pikachu. It doubled as a pedometer and that’s how you got in game currency for food and stuff. I don’t think it ever died though, it just went to sleep.
It was sent to another dimension.
I had one of those from a friend! One day it fell off my waistband and was gone. I don’t remember much from my childhood but I remember that, I was devastated. :(
My friend had it!! It was super cute.
I had a knock-off that was a chicken. I remember you could feed it stuff like ramen and cookies but then also…you could feed it a…chicken drumstick…
At the time, I didn’t think twice about it. But now, every once in a while, my brain will just suddenly pop up, like “hey remember feeding digital chicken to your digital chicken?” XD terrible.
Don’t feel bad Jess, real chickens eat real chickens all the time. My aunt had a rooster that died during the night and by the time they found him the next morning the other chickens had eaten most of him.
They are descended from dinosaurs after all.
Think of a Tamagotchi with something like a Siri in it, calling out , ” Please find me I’m so hungry ! , and “Hack, cough, I’m dying! “
Now you have three children.
I had a Neopets version of these. They–very importantly–did not die. My sister had a Giga Pet panda. it died of…poop, I think?
*Lion King’s ‘Circle of Life’ plays* I remember having a cat giga pet, and my sister had a humanoid baby giga pet. At the end of the toys lifespan (cracked the screen so bad the cat was a blob of pixels and buttons jammed) i decided to take it apart to see the circuitry. It was interesting.
There is actually an app that runs tamagotchi.
