“We named the dog Indiana.”
No lie, I met my husband’s sister at least three times during our dating period. Each time she had forgotten my name. On the fourth visit, she came with her new dog. She forgot my name again and when reminded, she exclaimed, “Really? That’s my dogs name!”
So she not only forgot my name, but she gave her dog the same name as me. I still don’t know how to feel about that.
I got this a lot at my last office job. A bunch of us share a really common name. I got so annoyed that I would fantasize about Highlander-ing each other for it.
My team at work once had twice as many men called Dan as it had women in general.
My name is Skye. Good friends of mine had a dog named Star. The husband would constantly mix up my name & the dog’s name, even when I wasn’t at their place. It was excellent & hilarious.
Growing up with a sibling and four dogs meant my mother was constantly mixing up names. It was quite good when she got it wrong multiple times in a row though
