I pretty much always use too much toilet paper. However it is not solved by adding more. She will learn!
The last sentence sounds a little off to me; I’d say “I replaced the roll this morning” or “changed the roll this morning”. Just “put” doesn’t quite finish the sentence. *nerding over*
More specifically, “I put” by itself doesn’t really work without specifying where the thing was put. “I put out a new roll” or “I put a new roll on there” would work (for future knowledge) but I agree that “changed” or “replaced” sound best for this context.

It’s like Goldilocks but with toilet paper and without the context of bears.
