I’ve done that! :D This is how we start new languages and win at Scrabble by cheating (50 points, “Agmire” snerk snerk).
From dictionary.com: -ous: a suffix forming adjectives that have the general sense “possessing, full of” a given quality ( covetous; glorious; nervous; wondrous ); -ous and its variant -ious have often been used to Anglicize Latin adjectives with terminations that cannot be directly adapted into English ( atrocious; contiguous; garrulous; obvious; stupendous ).
Therefore: Superfluous can be defined as “has a really bad case of the flu”. :D
Cute.
Ça me fait penser à ma cousine qui a dit à sa mère un jour, quand elle avait environ quatre ans : “J’aimerais ça aller au zoo pour voir les ruches et les autres ruches!” Une vraie Sol en puissance.
This reminds me of when I was a kid, there were some workmen doing some work to the grass. I went to ask what they were doing.
“We’re putting turf in,” one said.
“What’s ‘turfin’?”
I was offended when they laughed.
I learned a new word today. 8D Thank you Boumeries and Dictionary.com! Hahaha!
I… I don’t get it…
Superfluous means redundant, right? As a kid, I thought my aunt was saying “super fluous”, as in “excessively fluous”… fluous isn’t a word, is it?
It’s not my favourite comic ever, either :(
I think it’s really cute. :P
Yay, I’m glad :)
OHH! I get it now!
I got it and liked it right away. I had the same problem when I was young as well.

Haha! In French, “flux” (pronounced just “flu” kinda) is a very familiar way to say “diarrhea”…
Well, it could be that, too… :O
Given the original latin root of “fluus” – flowing, it makes sense.
XD
hahahahahahha so cute!!
