While I’ve never been pregnant, my height and lack of spatial awareness has earned me a constant flow of hip and upper-leg bruises from gently (?) bumping into the sides of desks, couches, countertops etc. I feel like, were I pregnant, that kid would come out with two black eyes and an array of dark splotches that would make a Dalmatian jealous.
Uh… the first sentence doesn’t seem like it makes sense in context. Maybe did you mean “Just because you’ve been walking … for months doesn’t mean that you’re aware ….”? (The current sentence implies you are aware of the space you’re talking up, but for some reason other than having been walking around with it for months. Which I suppose could be correct.)
No, it makes perfect sense to me. “Just because” is “You would think” and the “doesn’t” functions as a shift changing but. The sentence is still coherent b ^ – ^ d
