Is this a follow up to last comic? The answer to the question “what is in my presents” was always “socks”? :p
At present opening time I joke that all presents are socks, just because they’re such a well-known thing that “everybody” gets. But as a kid, we don’t want to get necessities! And as an adult we’re thrilled to get necessities because it means we don’t have to remember to go and get them.
There were only 2 things on my Christmas list this year; Candy and sketchpads.
Needless to say, I ended the holiday a very happy person.
I once joked that all I wanted from my inlaws were socks. Turns out they now annually buy me the BEST gold toe work socks. I needs them, my precious.
My mom give me socks every year ! This year it was only that :(
I ask for socks every year now, too. The ones I love are too spendy to buy on my own, so they’re a great gift.
When one is young socks are not wanted. When one is of an age socks, good socks are as good as gold.

I’m an odd shape, and this Christmas my mother made me a jacket that fits. It’s wonderful.
