I don’t blame you. I had no issues getting rid of mine either as a baby so I’m told. But my brother was terrible.
Ha! I didn’t throw it away immediately, I washed it and hid it for days until I was certain she didn’t need it anymore. (She asked for it only once after that but didn’t object when I said I’d thrown it away.)

My mother always tells me tales how I used to bite pieces off the pacifiers when I was teething… and then took them to the trash bin myself.
