This kind of thing happens around our house, too.
Me, to my daughter: “If you leave your toy on the floor and it gets broken, we’ll have to throw it away.”
Her: “No! Don’t throw it away!”
Me: “No, I’m not going to throw it away unless it gets broken.”
My son, in his 4-year-old accent: “Mama, you should not throw my sister’s toys away! It would make her SO SAD. That is unacceptable!”
I’ve seen that trick work about 50 percent of the time
The facial expressions are hilarious :D
Sisterly solidarity is a beautiful thing.
Just got done bingeing all your comics, so satisfied to finally be caught up! I absolutely love your comics!
Ahh thank you!!

Ah, I was the same way as Margot. Gotta protect those baby siblings <3
THIS IS SO CUTE.
Just tell Margot (in private) that it’s just a trick to get Annette out the door.
And tell her not to tell Annette.(Of course.)
