I can’t help being the grammar guy being that I am an English teacher (who also isn’t a native speaker and I know you are French Canadian!) Hooves, whenever you have a word that ends with f you make it ve like knife (even though its fe) becomes knives, thief becomes thieves, leaf becomes leaves, etc. Also yay for everything being sparkly now lol.
Hey, thanks! To be honest it was probably the first time I’ve ever used that word, and I thought that maybe it worked like “roof” (which plural is “roofs”, right?). I’ll fix it!
“Roofs” is commonly used, but “rooves” is correct too- neither is wrong (although I grew up with “rooves”, so “roofs” looks weird to me, but now I’ve been staring at both long enough that both words confuse me). Because language does weird things.
But then there are other exceptions to this rule, like “reefs”. English is weird
That’s probably because ‘reeves’ is plural of ‘reeve’, which is an old title for magistrate of a region. But yeah. There’s this lovely meme I found wandering around Tumblr once that said ‘English doesn’t borrow words from other languages; English pickpockets other languages for loose grammar.’

My acceptance letter to college was an envelope full of glitter and a copy of the Iliad to read before classes started. 10 years later my mother was still finding glitter in the carpet.
I don’t even have kids, but my little cousins came over to play and the next week there was glitter in my laundry. How???
But just look at the joy on their faces.
It’s worth it!
Honestly I’m kind of a fan of all those sparkles, even though I’m sure it doesn’t look as glamorous in real life! xD
