We had exactly the same thing. It’s the transition that was hard for our kid. I remember picking him up one day and first watched unobtrusively as he happily played with another child and a caregiver, full of laughter and smiles, and then I showed up and he burst into tears and ran straight into my arms.
I work in daycare, and you have no clue how often this happens….
