(One of my boots lost its gold cap, and it destroyed the sole as it came off. I’ve had them for 10 or 11 years, and they had been repaired before, but I really think this is the end.)

I’m not too fond of earthly possesions, especially since having children, but dude that sucks.
Having children definitely helps to let go of things.
