I’m doing my first con in October, APExpo in San Francisco. I’m very nervous that I’ll be rude to someone. Specifically become hostile because I don’t want to talk to someone anymore.
You’ll do fine! But weird and awkward people will come and talk to you. My trick is to befriend the exhibitors next to me before the show starts and to talk to them if something uncomfortable happens. The person will feel uneasy and leave.
Wow. I’d probably punch him. What he said I’d take as an insult to my kid and you don’t insult my kids. I’d love to know how you handled it without ripping him apart. lol
I didn’t do anything. He stood there for a while looking at my stuff and asking weird questions (like “Where do I put a magnet?”). He was officially in the weirdo category.
Wow…see…this is why conventions have no charm over me….there are always these little gems of 0 social skills that just scare me ._.
Thankfully most people are normal!
…The fuck? O_o

“And I REALLY didn’t want any jackwagons at my booth today. And yet, here we are.”
I been in similar situations. Only I was working at Pizza-hut….
